Morristown, N.J., (January 7, 2022) – Saint Elizabeth University (SEU) today announced it is mandating all fully vaccinated students and employees to receive a booster shot for the COVID-19 vaccine as soon as possible or no later than February 15, 2022.

“Mandating COVID-19 boosters is another way SEU is working to keep our community safe and healthy,” said Gary B. Crosby, Ph.D., president of Saint Elizabeth University. "This deadline is six months from when most faculty, staff and students were fully vaccinated, making most individuals, except for those with approved medical/religious exemptions, eligible for the booster by February 15."

The University will work directly with those individuals who will not be eligible for their booster in this timeframe, Crosby added.

Individuals are eligible to receive a booster if it has been at least two months since their one-dose Johnson & Johnson shot, at least five months after completing their two-dose Pfizer vaccine series, or at least six months after completing their two-dose Moderna vaccine series.

SEU begins the spring 2022 semester on Monday, January 10 in remote instruction mode until January 21. In-person classes are anticipated to resume on January 24.
