With options of earning minors in Dance, Graphic Dance, Music and Studio Art, SEU students are able to explore all facets of the Arts.

Dance

dance performance at SEUSEU’s Dance Minor introduces students to the art of movement. Whether you are an established dancer looking to further your education or just starting out in the field, dance minors explore the fundamentals of Modern, Jazz and Ballet dance.

Further options exist for students to elect courses which will satisfy the New Jersey Department of Education requirement for Dance Teacher K-6 certification eligibility.

Graphic Design

SEU graphic design student drawing on a tabletWith six computer labs, including one mac lab, students are able to hone their graphic design skills through utilizing Adobe Creative Cloud. As graphic design minors, students will take courses in photography, advertising, design, typography and more. This will give graduates the creative skills necessary to enhance any professional position.

Music

SEU students playing pianoSaint Elizabeth University has been offering degrees in music for a century. As music minors, SEU students will gain experience with dictation and sight reading as well as comprehensive knowledge of harmonies, including tertian diatonic harmony and chromatic harmony.

Additionally, students have the option of joining the Elizabeth Singers, where they will study, rehearse and perform liturgical and secular choir literature.

Studio Art

SEU art studentStudio Art minors will experiment with traditional methods of drawing and painting, gaining an understanding of color and design, before exploring newer techniques, media, materials and styles. This minor will teach students how to analyze art and develop their own unique creative style.
