24/7 Online Access

Library databases, e-journal subscriptions and our online catalog are accessible 24/7 from any computer or device with an Internet connection and web browser.

Logins

Databases & Journals

Whether on campus or off, you will be prompted to login when attempting to access the SEU library databases. You will use the same username and password as you would when logging into your SEU email and Moodle.

Online Catalog

All students, staff, and faculty that would like to borrow materials from the library will have to be entered into the catalog system. You can do this by stopping by the library circulation desk and asking the worker to enter you into the system. You will then use the email address you used when registering for your account to login, hit the "Reset Password" button, and set up your catalog account there. This enables you to:

  • see what you have checked out
  • check due dates
  • renew any items that are not late

Troubleshooting

If you are having problems connecting to one database, test your access to one or more other databases. If you can get into the other database, then the problem is most likely with the database site itself. Don't hesitate to contact us so we can sort it out!

If you have successfully connected to a database, but experience delays or difficulties while using that database, here are a few tips:

  • Try a different browser.
  • If you are unable to access the full text within a particular database interface, click the 'Search for Full Text' link, or go to the Online & Print Journals List to look up the journal that you need.

If you do experience connectivity problems, please contact our E-Resources Librarian at abross@steu.edu or the Help Desk at www.steu.edu/requesthelp.
