Faculty and staff are encouraged to place assigned or recommended reading or study materials on Reserve at the library's Circulation Desk. These materials may be textbooks, books or book chapters, articles, or DVDs. You can do this with library-owned materials or a personal copy.

Important to know:

1. All reserves have two-hour loan periods, to assure that each student can have ample time to access the resource.
2. All reserves must be utilized within the library building. This can mean in the Reference Room, across the hall in the Academic Success Center, or upstairs in the stacks or in Campus Ministry. Reserves do not leave the library.

Please be aware that faculty are responsible for informing the library whether they would like their reserves extended another academic year or not. If not, they must pick up the books at the end of the academic year.

Items that are not picked up are removed from reserves and put into storage, where they will remain for one year from the end of that academic year.

If items have not been picked up by this point, Mahoney Library reserves the right to use or dispose of them in the manner that is most beneficial to the library and the students of Saint Elizabeth University.
