  • Ranked No. 19 in nation for Best Online Master's in Criminal Justice Programs in 2021 by U.S. News & World Report. (January 2021)
  • Received a five-year grant of nearly $2.3 million from the U.S. Department of Education's Developing Hispanic–Serving Institutions (DHSI) Program to increase first-year retention and university graduation rates among Pell-eligible Hispanic and other low-income college students. SEU is a designated Minority-Serving and Hispanic-Serving Institution. (September 2020)
