Greetings from President Helen J. Streubert, Ed.D.

President Streubert's headshotWelcome to Saint Elizabeth University. We feel certain that if you are looking at our webpages, you are searching for a place where you can achieve your dreams in a small university atmosphere. At SEU, we commit to being ALL IN for our students.

We are confident that from the time you arrive on campus or have contact with our faculty, staff and students, you will have a personal experience here unlike that found in other small universities. We know our students by name and we are ALL IN for making sure that whatever your future, you are able to achieve it here.

Our Catholic traditions and Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth heritage create a rich academic experience. At SEU, we place the respect for persons foremost in how we provide a living-learning environment. We are deeply committed to inclusion, equity and advocacy for all. Hence, if you are a student looking for a place to be accepted for who you are, a place where you can learn and grow among individuals representing multiple diversities, you will find SEU a place that enriches your spirit and enlightens your mind.

The University offers 25 undergraduate majors, 16 graduate and two doctoral programs to meet the needs of those who choose to study here. We deliver our academic experiences to meet our students' needs because they are at the heart of our work. Not only do we provide state-of-the art classroom experiences, but we also are deeply engaged in our community providing “hands on” experience through internships, service-learning or practicum experiences.

We are especially proud of the ED CHOICE educational model which is available in many graduate programs for working adults. In ED CHOICE, the student decides weekly whether to be in person or online. We believe this model meets the needs of busy adults.

Saint Elizabeth has stood for over 120 years focused on preparing our graduates to lead in their personal and professional lives. We focus on making sure that students' time with us is transformational. To develop deep leadership skills, we offer competitive athletic programs, mentoring support, internships, faith and diversity programming. We stand by our commitment by offering the SEU Promise – a program for traditional undergraduate students that is focused on developing the skills and build the competencies needed to succeed after graduation.

Our core values of integrity, social responsibility, leadership and excellence permeate every aspect of the institution. Our students, employees and graduates demonstrate these values every day in all that they do.

We hope you enjoy visiting the pages of our website and learning more about the opportunities available at SEU. I invite you to visit our higher education community, learn more about how strive every day to make a difference in the world. I trust if you choose Saint Elizabeth, you will be one step closer to attaining your goals whether you are a traditional-aged undergraduate, an adult who is looking to start or continue an undergraduate degree through our non-traditional programming or looking to advance your career in one of our graduate or doctoral programs.
