Adebunmi Gbadebo: Connected By A Strand

On Display January 14 through February 28, 2019

Adebunmi Gbadebo is an artist based in Newark, NJ, who uses human Black hair as her primary medium. While simultaneously earning a BFA as an undergrad at the School of Visual Arts (SVA), Gbadebo exhibited in her first year-long solo show at Rutgers University, which was mentioned in the New York Times.

She has exhibited at Chashama, Miranda Kuo Gallery, The Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, SVA's Flat Iron and Chelsea Gallery (NYC), Monmouth University, Newark Open Doors, Gallery Aferro, and the Therese A. Maloney Art Gallery at the Saint Elizabeth University (NJ), among others.
