The Shape Shifter (detail) by Joseph Losavio, Digital photo

Painting Plus...

On Display January 24, 2018 through April 8, 2018

Painting is one of the earliest ways humans had of commemorating their observations of the world around them. Found in caves on six out of seven continents, the bold images, up to 35,000 – 45,000 years old, reveal multi-faceted subjects, styles, ideas and substances.

In this exhibition, six contemporary artists emphasize that painting mixed with many various materials is still a powerful way for people to present their mythological, psychological, personal, cultural, political, and stylistic points of view.
