Volunteering at the Community Foodbank of New Jersey

Service is an integral part of SEU's identity and all of our students are deeply committed to giving back. 150 students spent several hours giving back to those in need.

Along with achievement and leadership, community service has been central to Saint Elizabeth University's mission and tradition of the Sisters of Charity.

Throughout their time at SEU, students have the opportunity of becoming involved in numerous service projects, both locally and out-of-state. Students may find themselves building housing with Habitat for Humanity, raising funds for charitable causes, or traveling to rural or urban areas on college service-learning trips. It's hard NOT to get involved at SEU.

In recent years, SEU has:

  • Provided an estimated 29,500 hours of service.
  • Raised more than $32,000 for charitable causes.
  • Collected more than 2,500 pounds of food for a local food pantry.
  • Worked with some 90 non-profits, schools, and social service organizations each year.

Above all, engaged students grow as active, informed citizens of their communities and of the world.
