The University Now Dual Enrollment Program (UNDP) at Saint Elizabeth University offers high school juniors and seniors at its partner institutions, and with special permission, also select high school freshmen and sophomores, an affordable, straightforward, and convenient opportunity to enroll in quality college classes and get a head start on their college careers. It saves the students and their families both time and money.

SEU and its University Now partners cooperate to offer challenging college coursework for students who are in the high school environment, but are academically prepared for college-level work. The partnership provides broader educational options for students.

Goals of the University Now Dual Enrollment Program

The primary goals of the program are for high school students to:

• Earn college credit while also satisfying high school requirements
• Continue involvement in high school extracurricular activities
• Save travel/transportation costs (where the college courses are taken at the high school which is the most common model)
• Develop interest in post-secondary education

Another important goal of the program is to increase high school and university faculty curricular collaboration, which also helps students to become prepared for college.

Delivery Models of the University Now Dual Enrollment Program

There are three delivery models to choose from when it comes to setting up the Program; in each model, the high school students are coded as non-matriculated visiting students for the purpose of the Program:

• Students register for, and then take approved college courses at the high school, itself, taught by high school faculty that are also approved by the University. The courses are double-counted for both college credit and high school curricular requirements. This is the most common model since it offers the most advantages.
• Students register for, and take the college courses directly through Saint Elizabeth University based on offerings available during the relevant semester. These are taught by University faculty, and are confined to freshmen- or sophomore-level gateway courses. Students either travel to the University to take the classes (if they are in-person or hybrid) or they take them online.
• Students register for, and take the classes at their high schools based on the high school academic calendar, but taught by University faculty who travel to the high schools. 

The University works with its high school partners to determine which model is the right fit.
