Welcome to the Office of Financial Aid

A college education is one of the most important investments you will ever make. At Saint Elizabeth University, we believe that students should have access to a quality college education.

Access is what our financial aid program is all about, and we are committed to working with students and families to help make an SEU education affordable. The Office of Financial Aid will help you and your family develop a customized financial plan.

The Office of Financial Aid adheres to the regulations set forth by the U.S. Department of Education as well as the New Jersey Higher Education Student Assistance Authority regarding the administration of their financial aid programs.

A college education is one of the most important investments you will ever make. Most significantly, the U.S. Census Bureau of Labor and Statistics reports that over the working life of adults, those who have earned a bachelor's degree will earn $2.1 million, as opposed to $1.2 million earned by those with only a high school diploma.

SEU is committed to providing an affordable and enriching experience for students. Through scholarships and grants, the University partners with families in making this important investment in your future:

  • One third of SEU's annual budget is dedicated to student aid programs
  • 97% of undergraduate students receive some form of assistance either through SEU institutional scholarships, state and federal funding, or private scholarships.
  • The average incoming full-time undergraduate student receives over $33,000 in Gift Aid.

The Office of Financial Aid will assist you and your family develop a customized financial plan and help assure you receive all the aid for which you qualify.

Each student is unique. While these comparisons are reflective of a typical SEU student, there are many factors used to estimate a financial aid award. In addition to Direct Costs, students also need to plan for other educational expenditures such as books, transportation, and personal expenses.

Typical Student Profile:

  • Average SAT score of 500 on each section
  • GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • Based on a household income of $50,000 with five in the family and one in college

Application Process

SEU utilizes the FAFSA to determine a student's financial aid package based on the family's expected contribution.
