Transfer to SEU

Transfer students bring a unique perspective to the classroom and community. By joining the SEU family after time spent at another institution, they add a special dimension to the SEU experience.

We hope that you will feel instantly at home at SEU and find a beautiful, nurturing place where you can take advantage of great opportunities: academic, personal and professional.

Application Process and Eligibility

Transfer students are admitted for the Fall (August) and Spring (January) semesters.

  • Students may transfer in up to 90 credits.
  • Transfers with an AA or AS degree are able to transfer all classes included in the Associate's degree.
  • An overall 2.0 GPA is needed to transfer.
  • Submit official transcripts from all college(s) attended. Be sure to note on the application any former names that may appear on transcripts.
  • Students who have under 32 college credits must also submit a final official high school transcript.
  • Undergraduate students: submit a personal essay and one Letter of Recommendation (not required for Continuing Studies* students)

* All students, age 24 or older, who are high school graduates or who have earned a high school equivalency diploma can be admitted to SEU as either part-time or full-time Continuing Studies students.
