Cost of Attendance (COA)

Cost of Attendance (COA), which is often referred to as the “student budget” is a holistic accounting of all estimated costs relating to the student’s pursuit of higher education.  It is not the same amount a student will be charged on their Saint Elizabeth University bill.  The COA represents the maximum amount of all total combined aid a student can receive in any given academic year.  It also helps the institution determine a student’s “financial need”.

COA includes direct costs (tuition, fees, food, and housing) and also estimated indirect costs.  Indirect costs are expenses that will NOT appear on your bill, but may be incurred by the student will attending the institution.  These can include items such as books & supplies, transportation costs, personal expenses, etc.

** Graduate students are not required to enroll full-time. Only full-time students will be automatically enrolled in the health insurance plan and have the option to opt-out. COA calculations are based on full time status of 9 credits per semester for fall and spring.  Credit amounts will vary per semester based on the student's registration and program.
