SEU Alumni and Friends Travel Program

Northern Portugal and Galicia

June 26-July 8, 2024

Travel with Dr. Margaret Roman ’72 and Dr. Kathleen Hunter ’73 and other Saint Elizabeth alumni and friends to Northern Portugal and Galicia this summer!  LISBON / PORTO– Obidos, Batalha, Coimbra, Portuguese wine country, Fatima, Baiona, Santiago de Compostella, and Fisterra are on the itinerary for this 13-day trip.

Highlights include a River Cruise - Cooking Class – Fado Performance – Wine Tasting - Medieval Villages – and plenty of history, culture and world heritage sites. The tour is run by EasyGoing LTD, London.

Payment Details

  • Total cost of trip is $5,100*
    (Includes airfare, bed and breakfast accommodations, 24/7 tour guide and tour bus, all excursions as listed on itinerary, entrance fees to selected sites, 5 dinners with wine, ).
  • A non-refundable deposit of $350 is due December 30, 2023.
  • Four additional payments are due January 30, February 29, March 29, and April 29. 
    The first two payments will be $1,188. and the final two payments will be $1,187.  (Individual Payment Plans can be arranged.)

*Airfare is subject to change until all airline tickets are purchased and issued.

*Travel insurance and gratuities are not included.

Travel Insurance

All travelers who participate in international travel programs with Saint Elizabeth University must obtain a comprehensive travel insurance policy for the tour, which includes travel medical coverage as well as trip cancelation/interruption, baggage coverage.


The Preferred Plan from TravelGuard is one possibility that many have used https://www.travelguard.com. You are free to use any comprehensive plan from any travel insurance company you choose. 

*PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU MUST GET TRAVEL INSURANCE WITHIN TEN DAYS AFTER MAKING YOUR DEPOSIT IN ORDER TO COVER PREEXISTING CONDITIONS. If you do not have preexisting conditions, you may sign up for travel insurance at a later date.
