Marshals are trained and equipped to deal with a variety of emergencies that can occur and assist in ensuring the safety and welfare of the members of the SEU campus community. Marshals need to be prepared to react to any of the possible "hazards" that can occur at any time on campus. such as fire/smoke, bomb threat/suspicious objects, utility emergency, gas leak, toxic substance, hostile intruder/suspicious person, lockdown, disturbance, criminal activity, light search and rescue, and sick/injured person.

The marshals are staff and faculty volunteers that are interested in providing emergency assistance within the building they reside or within the SEU campus in general. This group meets monthly for training, discussions and exercises.

If you are interested in the FEMA training and/or volunteering as a marshal on campus, please contact the SEU Director of Security at 973-290-4290.
