Types of Scholarships

Through scholarships and grants, Saint Elizabeth University assists students who demonstrate academic ability, leadership potential, commitment to service and the ethical values that are in keeping with its mission.

In addition to the awards listed here, the University provides access to students through SEU grants based on their family's demonstrated need as determined by the FAFSA. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form as soon as possible after the October 1 deadline. The FAFSA code for SEU is 002600.

If a student qualifies for two or more scholarships, the Director of Financial Aid will award the scholarship that best assists the student.

Awarded to a limited number of residential freshman or transfer students who demonstrate the highest level of academic achievement.

Awarded to freshman students with superior academic performance.

Awarded to freshman students with outstanding academic performance in a challenging high school program.

Awarded to freshman students with a strong academic performance in a solid high school program.

Awarded to freshman or transfer students who have demonstrated the values of leadership in a spirit of service and social responsibility as exemplified by Mother Mary Xavier Mehegan.

Awarded to freshman or transfer students who are graduates of Catholic high schools.

Awarded to freshman or transfer students who are nieces/nephews or grandnieces/grandnephews of a Sister of Charity.

Awarded to freshman or transfer students who are children and grandchildren of alumni from SEU.

Awarded to full-time transfer students based on college GPA.

Awarded to full-time transfer students who were members of the PTK Honors Society at their Community College.
