Academic Internship Requirements
Internships at Saint Elizabeth University are semester-based experiential learning opportunities that allow students to apply classroom knowledge in a professional setting related to their major or career interests. These internships are student-initiated and supported by Career Services, helping students identify, pursue, and secure opportunities that align with their academic and professional goals.
Through the internship experience, students gain hands-on exposure to their chosen field, develop practical workplace skills, and strengthen their understanding of potential career paths. Students are also encouraged to explore opportunities outside their major to broaden their experience and better define their long-term goals before graduation.
Students who complete internships graduate with a competitive advantage, as they build relevant experience, professional networks, and stronger candidacy for both employment and graduate or professional school opportunities.
