Inspired by the traditions of the Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth, the university encourages students, faculty, and staff to use their knowledge and talents in service to others and to make meaningful contributions to their communities.
Community engagement and service are central to the student experience at Saint Elizabeth University, providing opportunities to create a positive impact both locally and globally through compassion, leadership, and a commitment to social justice.
Volunteer Requirement:
At Saint Elizabeth University, service is more than a requirement, it’s part of who we are.
- All students are required to complete 10 hours of volunteer service prior to graduation.
This experience reflects the university’s deep commitment to service, social responsibility, and community engagement. Through volunteerism, students step beyond the classroom to make a real impact in their communities while building essential life and career skills such as leadership, empathy, communication, and teamwork. Whether local or global, students are encouraged to choose service opportunities that reflect their passions, values, and future goals—creating meaningful experiences that stay with them long after graduation.
