General Requirements for Admission

Applicants for admission to a graduate degree program must:

  1. Possess a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university, or have evidence of equivalency from an approved International Credit Evaluation partner (WES or a NACES member) if a degree was awarded at a foreign institution of higher education.
  2. Demonstrate potential for graduate work, ordinarily by having a minimum 3.0 overall GPA during undergraduate study and/or previous graduate study. *Some Graduate programs require an overall GPA that is higher than the overall institutional minimum given, in accordance to that program's accredidation standards.

Additional prerequisite requirements, standards for admission, and evidence of suitability for advanced study may be required by individual programs.

How to Apply

Most Graduate programs utilize Saint Elizabeth University's internal application; however, some Graduate programs utilize an external, third party application platform. Review of a particular Graduate program's webpage is suggested for a more detailed and comprehensive overview of the admissions criteria and process.

You may upload unofficial transcripts for consideration purposes, however, official transcripts will be necessary prior to initial enrollment, if accepted. Recommendations, a personal statement, completion of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) and/or additional documents or certificates may be a requirement based on your anticipated Graduate academic program's complete admissions criteria. Visit the applicable Graduate program's webpage to view the full list of admissions materials necessary for consideration.

Cost to Apply

No matter the anticipated Graduate program, Saint Elizabeth University does not require an application fee.

Application Deadlines

The Office of Admissions adheres to a rolling admission policy for a Fall semester (August) entry term for most Graduate programs. However, some Graduate programs are not on a rolling admissions policy due to the nature of their applicable accredidation standards and regulations. Review of a particular Graduate program's webpage is suggested for a more detailed and comprehensive overview of the admissions criteria and process.

Students may be able to apply for a Spring semester (January) entry term, but this is not guaranteed. Those considering an anticipated Spring entry term should discuss such intentions with the appropriate Graduate conselor and/or appropriate personnel of the anticipated Graduate program.
