Renewals
Items may be renewed either in person or online through your library account. To renew a book online, go to the Mahoney Library catalog and sign in using the "Sign In" button on the top right. Then, click the drop down menu under "My Account", select "Checkouts", and use the "Renew Items" button to renew your items.
Reserve materials may only be renewed at the circulation desk, and only if no other patrons are waiting to use the material.

Only overdue course reserves and reserve laptops will be charged late fees. Semester loan laptops will not be charged late fees, but will instead be charged $1,000 if not returned by the day semester grades are due.
Books will not be charged late fees; however, patrons will not be able to check out more materials if they have 3 or more overdue items. Books will be charged a replacement and processing fee after six weeks overdue. For interlibrary loan items, this fee could exceed $100.
Restriction of Library Privileges
All SEU patrons will be blocked from checking out additional materials if they have
a lost item, 3 overdue items, or $20 of outstanding charges on their account.
If an SEU patron has any overdue interlibrary loan materials, they will not be allowed
to borrow more interlibrary loan items.
Overdue SEU items and overdue interlibrary loan materials are tracked separately.
VALE reciprocal borrowers will be blocked if they have any lost items, overdue items, or outstanding fees.
Course Reserves
Faculty may designate library-owned materials or their personal copies of books to be placed on reserve at the library's Circulation Desk. Such items are intended for specific classes and may be checked out by students for either 2 hours (in-library use only) or overnight. Course reserves can only be renewed if no other students are waiting for the item. Reserve requests should be submitted prior to the start of each semester.
